Purple with a Hint of Emerald Green

Hey beauties! I had to do a more subtle look today for a career event I attended. However, my subtle is never very subtle lol! Anyway, I used a shimmery purple eyeshadow from Urban Decay all over my lids and a matte mauve/pink mix in my crease. I also used an emerald green eyeshadow in the inner half of my crease to give it some color dimension. Lastly, I applied Urban Decay Solstice eyeshadow in the inner half of my lids. I think it looks really pretty! What do u guys think? πŸ˜ŠπŸ’¬πŸ’πŸ˜πŸ˜β˜ΊοΈ

My Weekend Makeup: All That Jazz and Emerald City

Hey guys! I wanted to share my makeup that I created this weekend. On Saturday, I went for a bold, colorful dramatic look (as always!), using some pink, green, blue and purple eyeshadows.

For Sunday, I went for a more subtle look. I used a teal eyeshadow on the lids and some gray mixed with brown eyeshadow in the crease. I added a little bit of green glitter liner to the outer lash line.

Any questions? Ask me! See y’all soon!

Ready for Work Makeup

Today, I went on a job interview and I wanted a look that was pretty, but not over done. I kept my eyes neutral, with very soft, warm colors from the Sleek Nude Collection eyeshadow palette. The Urban Decay Naked2 and the Sleek Au Naturel palette are my go-to palettes for creating very simple makeup. I really like the colors from both palettes, and I think the colors suit most skin tones, so that’s a major plus. Anyway, I used the darker colors from the palette in my crease and used a shimmery, cream color eyeshadow on my lids. I used a brown ELF liquid liner on my upper lash line, and completed the look with NYX Brown Sugar lipstick. You should always wear a matte finished lipstick when goin on a job interview because lip gloss brings too much attention to the lips, so you’re better of with some chapstick and a little lipstick. Make sure you don’t wear a color that’s too bright or dark…that’s also a big no, no! I think this is a great interview and/or work look, so hopefully this will give some of you guys ideas for your next job interview!

Sand on the Beach Dramatic Eye Makeup

Hey, girlies! My makeup for today reminded me of the beach. I used a teal eyeshadow on my lids, which reminded me of the ocean and brown and orange eyeshadows that remind me of the sand on the beach. I added a pop of blue on my lower lash line and some green glitter liner from NYX on my upper lash line. I extended my liner to a cat eye shape and put on a soft pink lipstick on my lips. Anyway, here’s the look…I hope you like it!

Products Used:

NYX Lagoon Sparkle eyeshadow on my lids

NARS Night Clubbing – Cut crease

BH Cosmetics Party Girl Palette – I used the orange eyeshadow in my crease, and the lighter cream shades as my brow highlight color. I also added some of the ocean blue color on my lower lash line.

MAC Gorgeous Gold – transition color to brow highlight

A little bit of this, A little bit of that :-)

Hey guys! I hope you all had a great weekend. My weekend was relaxing…I tried to stay away from the heat wave New York was having for the past few days by cooling down with the AC! Anyway, the heat wave is over for now and I’m glad for the relief πŸ™‚ Here is my makeup for today and from Saturday. Saturday’s look has some glitter to it,which is my new favorite thing and I did a brown, sparkly look today. Please comment if you’d like and I am open to ideas about future looks you would like for me to try out! Enjoy ur day!

Shades of Gray

Hello, everyone! Happy Father’s Day! I hope y’all are enjoying ur Sunday so far πŸ™‚Β  I did a gray eyeshadow look today, using four different shades of gray. The darkest gray was applied to the lower lid and then faded into a lighter gray shade. You can use whatever gray eyeshadows you have, so the brand doesn’t really matter. I used MAC eyeshadows and a silver-gold pigment on my lids to brighten the look. Gray can make your eyes look kinda dull, so you gotta add a little light or sparkle to it. For my lips, I used a NYX mega shine lip gloss in Golden Mauve. These lip glosses are really pigmented and they are like a lipstick and lip gloss in one. I REALLY love the Golden Mauve lip gloss cuz it’s such a pretty color! It’s a lavender color mixed with some gold undertones. Anyway, that’s Sunday’s look…I hope you enjoyed it!

Color Explosion! Summer Eye Makeup Look

Hey guys, Happy Monday! I was inspired to do this colorful, summer look by a YouTube beauty guru by the name of MissChievous. She did a dramatic, colorful eye makeup tutorial, using the colors yellow, pink, and purple. She also used a green and blue eyeliner on her lower lash line, and it really made all the colors pop! I was really feelin the look, so here’s my version. Anyway, I hope you like the look!

By the way, my BH Cosmetics Party Girl Palette just arrived in the mail today. So far, I’m feelin the colors in this palette. They seem to be really pigmented, so that’s an A+. I will be doin a look from this palette tomorrow. If you have a look that you will like to see, let me know. Stay Tuned!
