On New Years!

Hey loves! Happy New Year! I wish u all the best of luck for the new year and I’m hoping I’ll have a great new year as well! Today, I wanted to do a multi-textured eyeshadow look, using a matte brown, shimmery Browns, mauve, orange, blue and a gold iridescent shade in the middle of my eyes. After blending, this was the final result!

Rihanna Inspired Awards Makeup look

Hey loves! I watched a YouTube video from one of my favorite beauty gurus named Eman (check her out!). She recreated a Rihanna inspired makeup look from an awards show she attended last year. She used a gunmetal eyeshadow on her lids, mixed with a light silver toned eyeshadow and MAC Green Smoke on the inner lid area. I also used the light silver shade in my inner corners. For the crease, I used two different shades of an orange eyeshadow and a matte brown was used to deepen the crease. A subtle purple shade was applied to the inner crease to give it more color and dimension. I smoked out the outer corners with a matte black eyeshadow and there goes the finished makeup look! It’s a fairly easy look that beginners can do and it creates a lot of drama! U guys can also check out Eman on YouTube for her recreation and a tutorial on how to achieve this look. Thanks for viewing!

Blue Lagoon

This is my Friday’s makeup! A glitter green eyeshadow from Urban Decay in the inner part of my eye, NARS Outremer eyeshadow in the center and NARS Night clubbing in the outer corner. I used a matte gray eyeshadow in my crease and a soft pink transition color from the Sleek Acid palette. Don’t forget to like!

Green and Glittery Pink Eye Makeup

Hey everyone! Today’s makeup look is colorful, bold and dramatic. I used some dark green, blue, and pink eyeshadows. I added some NYX Candy glitter liner in Pink to the center of my lids to give the look a little more drama (I love my dramatic eyes!). I hope you guys like the look and please let me know what looks you’ll like for me to try out. I will appreciate it!

Green and Glittery Pink Eye Makeup

On another note….

I hope you guys are enjoying your Thursday. I will be attending a hair event tonight in New York City with my sister and her bestie, so I’m excited about that! They’re giving away some free hair products, so my sister is super happy about that. I’m not a big hair person, I’m more into my makeup (as you can see) so it will be a good experience. I plan on taking pics while at the event, so I should be posting my pics later and talking about my overall experience. This event is mainly geared toward women with natural hair. A LOT of women of color have made the transition from relaxed hair to their natural hair, so it will be interesting to see what hair products can be used to maintain a natural hair look. I have not made the transition to natural hair and don’t really plan on doin it anytime soon (I’m addicted to my perm!). However, my sister and her BFF have made the change to natural hair and my sister is really lovin it. I have seen more improvement with her hair, it’s thicker and a little longer. She has tons of hair products for her natural hair, so I do use some of them as well. Who knows, maybe after tonight, I’ll make the switch…or maybe not! Anyway, stay tuned for some pics from the hair event tonight. Thanks for viewing!

Gothic Chic Eyes

Hey, guys! Today’s makeup look is pretty dark, yet colorful at the same time. The eyeshadow colors I used are dark brown, blue brown, magenta and and an orange color. This look is pretty easy to do, despite how it may look. It’s dramatic for a party or for an occasion where you just want to stand out in the crowd. I called this look gothic chic because it’s dark and mysterious, yet very feminine.

Anyway, here are the products I used:

NARS Mekong eyeshadow on my lids

NARS Night Clubbing on the outer V of my eyes

MAC Blue Brown eyeshadow pigment on the center of the lids

MAC Hepcat in my crease

NARS California above my crease as a transition color

I used a frosty silver eyeshadow as my brow highlight and used this same color in the inner corner of my eyes to bring some light to the look. I wore MAC dazzleglass in Get Rich Quick, which is a brown-gold shimmery lip color.

I hope you guys liked Friday’s look! Stay tuned for some more unique looks from me!

Colorfully Spring Eye Makeup

Hello, to all of you beautiful people! Spring seemed to have finally arrived and the weather is getting warmer. I did an eye makeup look today that is great for an Easter look. It’s also ideal for a casual look for daily activities, like goin to the mall, hanging out with friends or going to school (maybe even work, depending on where u work). I used very subtle colors and some blue eyeshadow. This look is very glamorous, but not too over the top. Anyway, here’s my eye makeup for today, and I’ll love to see y’all with your spring makeup as well. Let me know how you like to do your makeup for the Spring/summer time 🙂

Pink and Blue Makeup Look

Hey guys! Today, I did a colorful look with mainly blue and pink eyeshadow. This definitely is a great spring look and it’s a pretty bold look as well. I used NYX, MAC and NARS products, but you can always use whatever brands you have in your makeup case! I used a blue eyeshadow as the highlight color in the center of my lids, pink on the inner and outer corner of my eyes, a green eyeshadow in the outer crease and a blue eyeshadow on top of my crease. I also used a yellow eyeshadow in the inner half of my brow bone area. I don’t wanna list out all the products I used cuz it’s a lot! If you do have any questions about the products I used, leave a comment and I will respond! I also wore false lashes today, and one of my lashes came out better than the other, so don’t laugh at me! Lol, u can laugh if u want. Anyway, I hope y’all enjoy the look!
